Hand carved wax relief sculpture featuring a great sadness. Hand painted in oil paints with gold leaf accents. Her ruffled collar is made of thin sheets of teal colored wax. The sculpture rests on a black velvet background. All of my framed relief sculptures feature a convex glass covering to protect from dust. The convex glass also creates a beautiful specimen or diorama look which I prefer. The ornate frame is wood with a gold leaf finish measuring a large 18 inches x 15.5 inches.
